Burton Studio authored a comprehensive master plan study for this historic resort beginning in 2007, which subsequently led to the firm’s involvement in extensive multi-year renovation projects that have fully transformed the property. Burton championed the idea of relocating all parking below grade, which allowed the site plan to blossom and created space for new outdoor event areas, gardens, swimming pools, and a beachfront promenade. The redesign also incorporates a new palm-lined entry drive that restores the arrival experience at the original porte cochere. The rejuvenated one-hundred year old beachfront hotel now enjoys fresh relevance for modern guests and the ability to captivate visitors for next century and beyond.
