Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa

The Andaz Scottsdale originated as the Cottonwoods Resort, built in 1982 on 25 acres in Arizona’s Paradise Valley. Burton Studio crafted the recent exterior renovations to support development of 201 casita style rooms at the property’s prime location in the shadow of the iconic Camelback Mountain. The modern, mid-century landscape renovations frame and connect with an open concept lobby and restaurant-bar, four conference venues, two pools, and a full service spa. Guest rooms have been re-envisioned with indoor/outdoor connectivity, dedicated patios, and colorfully appointed banco seating within private walled gardens. Meandering pathways are aligned to preserve the mature olive and pine trees from the original development. Our studio additionally developed improvements for “The Retreat,” a private cluster of 20 bungalows that provide an exclusive resort experience with premium privacy and service.
