Pendry Newport Beach

Perched above the iconic Fashion Island shopping center, this Newport Beach hotel was originally built in 1984. Burton Studio authored a complete exterior renovation and rebranding of the property in 2023. Our team integrated new amenity spaces and a focal pool area among the existing trees and palms. Even though the site is compact, the design managed to transform a sloped area at the front of the property into a 5,000-square-foot event lawn set between existing mature Ficus trees. The trees and added hedge planting provide a stunning backdrop for weddings and other outdoor gatherings. The improvements throughout the hotel’s interior and exterior offer a refined and comfortable experience with touches of elegance that exceed guests’ expectations.
